The present course will enable Master students in Literature & Civilisation to carry on their adventure in research by aquiring the necessary tools to propely format their research works. 

Corpus Linguistics

The subject of Corpus Linguistics  aims to: 

- provide the students with an overview of the definition and development of corpus linguistics,

- familiarize them with the different types of corpora, and how to design a corpus,

- enhance their level (through tutor-marked assignments) to show their knowledge of the principles taught,

- discuss the usefulness of corpora in corpus linguistics.

This lecture is about the definition of corpus linguistics


Translation Skills (M2 Ling.)

Salam à vous tous, 

  • Votre travail hebdomadaire (weekly), consistera à faire un travail pratique de traduction selon les axes du syllabus 
  • (le syllabus de la matière ainsi que les crédits et les coefficients sont en pièce jointe).
  • Etant donné la nature du travail qui vous ai demandé le suivi sera individuel et essentiellement via vos boites mails respectives, c'est pour ça que j'insiste sur le fait d'en avoir une le plus tôt possible, 
  • et vous recevrez une correction hebdomadaire
  • il ne faut surtout pas hésiter à poser toutes vos questions je répondrai "individuellement" à chacun d'entre vous nchalah
  • un test sera organisé nchalah au niveau du département et en présentiel et ce dans la mesure du possible.
  • la journée du jeudi sera consacrée à la réception des travaux et des corrections, 
  • je vous prie de respecter (cet horaire) pour faciliter la tâche à tout le monde

donc, j'insiste sur trois points majeurs s'il vous plaît:
  1. prendre connaissance du contenu de la matière
  2. avoir une boite mail personnelle pour envoyer les travaux et recevoir les corrections
  3. respecter la journée du jeudi pour l'envoi afin de faciliter le travail pour chacun

Applied Linguistics

Applied linguistics unifies practical experience and theoretical understanding of language development and language in use. This subject is divided into lectures and a range of study activities. However, it will always remain open to the possibility of introduction of extra-materials ( reading, examples tasks, etc.) as a response to the new advances in the area of applied linguistics without evidently neglecting the students' needs and expectations. so, welcome to the world of applied linguistics!
